Dry Hair? Give it the Hydration it Deserves.

Shinkafa Hair & Body Care-12

All things being equal, there are really just two main culprits behind the cause of your dry hair: the oil production of your scalp and the moisture retention of your hair.

Those two reasons are (1) that your scalp does not produce enough oil to hydrate the hair shaft for whatever the reason, and (2) that the condition of your hair is causing the moisture to escape, which leads to dry hair. There may be an underlying medical reason, for which your doctor is best able to address.

It is important to keep these two main reasons in mind as you tackle dry hair to rehydrate and maintain a healthy, voluminous and vibrant head of hair.

Start slowly and see what works for you. Avoid over-processing your hair. Over-processing includes washing too much, so you may want to skip your daily hair washing; and also using too many chemicals and too much heat on the hair. Anything that strips the hair of its natural hydration process poses a problem. We’ll mention here that people with greasy should heed this caution, because, in trying to wash too much to get rid of the grease, your body goes into over processing mode causing more issues. Yikes! Yes, so, space out your washing regimen whether you have dry or greasy hair. Just be patient, you will see results.

There are two things healthy hair must haves. They are the leave-in conditioner and hair polish for basic hydration. Here is how they help:

Leave-In Conditioner:

While using shampoo and conditioner is routine, if your hair remains unmanageable, tangled, frizzy or brittle after your shampooing routine, or if your hair lacks luster, feels like straw, is thinning and limp, then, these are some indications that you do need a leave-in conditioner.

  • Moisturizes Dry Hair
  • Detangles Knotted Hair
  • Makes Hair Manageable and More Responsive to Styling
  • Protects Hair from Environmental Damage
  • Acts as a Barrier Against Heat
  • Adds Luster to Color-Treated Hair
  • Combats Frizz

HOW TO USE A LEAVE-IN HAIR CONDITIONER: Apply a small amount right after your routine hair wash. This conditioner needs your hair to be damp to provide you with all its. Focus on the entire hair structure. Style as usual.

Hair Polish:

Hair Polish is recommended for all types of hair, but more so for coarse, dull or dry hair.

  • Brilliant Shine
  • Frizz Control
  • Smooth Hair
  • Boosts hydration
  • Hair Conditioning
  • Heat Barrier
  • Styling Aid

HOW TO USE HAIR POLISH: Apply a dollar size about to damp or dry hair. On dry hair, use a small amount daily for hydration and brilliant finish.

Note: Shinkafa’s leave-in conditioner can be combined with our hair polish on damp hair.
