4 SIMPLE STEPS TO HEALTHY HAIR FREEDOM
Shinkafa Keratin Hair Relaxer 4-Step Kit contains active ingredients that with heat activation, gently expand and smoothen your curly or frizzy hair while promoting the growth, strength, nourishment and health of your hair with no pain or burning. Through our innovations and keratin-based technologies, we’ve created this unique hair elongating and expanding treatment that strengthens the hair structure, while eliminating frizz as curls are elongated. The active ingredient is keratin.
- Wet hair thoroughly.
- Apply entire bottle of Rebuilding Treatment to hair and scalp.
- Massage into hair and scalp, then rinse out thoroughly.
- Towel dry hair and blow dry. (This step can make your hair very hard. That is normal)
NOTE: this stage cleanses the hair by use of the cleansing wash to prepare the hair for application of the active ingredient in step 2. That is why in some people, this step makes the hair hard. It is normal. Hair must be clean and dry before you can proceed to step 2. Step 2 is the active ingredient stage where the hair is elongated and smoothened.
- Snip tip of bottle with scissors to open, then apply entire bottle of smoothing relaxer Créme to dry hair with a brush, lock by lock, from roots to tips.
- Leave the smoothing relaxer Crème on hair for 15 minutes.
- With the smoothing relaxer Crème on hair, blow dry hair while brushing hair straight with a round brush, or blow dry with a wide-tooth-comb blow dryer.
- When the smoothing relaxer Crème is almost dried on hair, flat iron lock by lock at 200 degrees C (400 F). DO THIS IN A WELL-VENTILATED ROOM.
- Let hair cool for 5 minutes.
- Wash the smoothing relaxer Crème from hair with warm water.
NOTE: Just as this smoothing system thickens hair being protein keratin based, it can also make your hands hard, so you may want to wear cloves to apply the cream.
- Ensure that the Créme (Step 2) is completely washed from hair.
- Use the Restoring Therapy Shampoo to shampoo hair.
- Massage in shampoo and rinse out thoroughly.
- Condition the hair, using the Renewing Finisher.
- Massage into hair.
- Rinse thoroughly and blow dry.
- Style as usual using Shinkafa’s Leave-in Conditioner (included with online orders, only). If your hair is very dry, you may also add our Hair Polish (not included). It is IMPERATIVE that you use our leave-in conditioner at a minimum after the process – that is why we have included a full bottle as part of the kit. We encourage you to use both our leave-in conditioner for the best look. Many people love to use our leave-in conditioner and hair polish together. You will not need any hair oil or cream when you use those two. We know that for a great many, our leave-in conditioner serves that function very well. Your hair will be weightlessly and greaselessly soft. For a natural look, just blow dry or let hair dry by itself. If you desire straighter hair, blow dry and style using a curling iron or rollers under a dryer, or flat iron for a smooth look. The Shinkafa leave-in conditioner and hair polish have heat and sun protection (as do most Shinkafa products).
Once you’ve used our keratin treatment kit or any other keratin treatment without formaldehyde, you must maintain your hair with products that are sulfate free and paraben free. All Shinkafa products are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, formeldehyde or artificial colorants. Shinkafa is thus ideal for you. We recommend that at a minimum you use our leave-in conditioner for your daily styling. It is imperative that those with coarse hair use our leave-in conditioner after the process to make sure their hair is soft. Remember that after the process, your hair is now stronger and thicker. If your hair needs some oil infusion, please use our hair polish together with our leave-in conditioner. For daily styling with our leave-in conditioner or hair polish, a little goes a long way.
